"What Goes Up" Free Movie Screening in West Hollywood, CA!
Can an indie dark comedy starring Hilary Duff actually be good? I think "What Goes Up" will cause skeptics to answer "yes!" It doesn't hurt that it also stars Steve Coogan (Hamlet 2), Olivia Thirlby (Juno) and a talented cast of misfit teens. Set in 1986 surrounding the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy, this film follows an emotionally-damaged New York reporter (Coogan) who goes to a town to cover a local hero but instead gets caught up in the lives of a group of outcast (and equally emotionally-damaged) teens. Humor, sadness and self-discovery ensue for all parties involved.
